A New York Moment: The Great Debate (address corrected)

Dateline: Denver Colorado–8/28/08–10:45 AM Mountain Time

I’ve been holding off posting this, because I wanted to do a fuller article about the importance of this race.

Unfortunately, time has been short, and I’m trying to get to Invesco Field to see Springsteen and that other guy, so I’m posting bare bones. Hope I’ll get to it later.

THE GREAT DEBATE –21st AD State Senate

Thursday, September 4, 8:00 PM at the 41st AD Democratic Club
2952 Ave R cornier of Haring Street one block east of Nostrand

Fighting Senator Kevin “Dap” Parker defends his title against Councilman Simcha “The Toomler” Felder and Councilman Kendall “Doctor Foots” Stewart.

Ask the Candidates Important Questions Like:

"Will you agree to go six rounds with Kevin Powell for the Brooklyn Pols extreme fighting championship"

"Is Curry Goat kosher?"

“Have you taken a shot of penicillin since the last time you endorsed a Republican?”

“Will you support Gay Marriage if we outlaw Intermarriage?”

“Where do you get those suits, anyway?”

“Does one have to be a member of your staff to get a member item?”

Seriously, this is an important race which raises issues of the direction the State Senate Democrats will take if they attain a majority, as well as whether they take a majority at all, when the organization of the Senate actually takes place.

And yet, this important race has been ignored by the “progressive community” as they argue about whether the difference between Marty Connor and Dan Squadron can fit through the eye of a needle.

Guys, who sits in this Senate seat may be a question of crucial statewide importance.

Come meet the candidates and put them on the hotseat they all so richly deserve.

And bring popcorn.
