I’m surprised but the Editorial writers of the NY Post apparently don’t understand how capitalism works.
In writing on Wednesday about the 9mm Glock semi-automatic pistol that was used last Saturday to gun down 20 people in Tucson, they first say:
Almost as much a mystery, frankly, as why Glock even markets them: They have no discernible civilian efficacy — and damned little military utility.
The very next paragraph, however, provides the answer to their mystery:
Yet sales of the magazines reportedly are way up around the country in the wake of the Tucson massacre.
Perhaps Rupert Murdoch can explain to his employees that many items with no discernible civilian efficacy can be sold for a profit.
