While I (gack!!!) supported Kevin Parker against Simcha Felder when Felder ran for State Senate in 2008 (in a working class minority district where his fiscal conservatism was not a good fit), it is hard for me to conceive that (barring the return of Seymour Lachman—who may be a bit too modern Orthodox) this district could do any better than either Felder or David Greenfield (and Greenfield is supporting Felder). Simcha Felder Announces Democratic Bid In “Super-Jewish” District, Nachman Caller Running On GOP Lin www.cityandstateny.com Oh Dear. Oh No-ach!
I have “No Idea” (pause for bad pun to sink in) if this is true. I don’t believe the part about Noach Dear running for State Senate as a Republican; since he’s technically a Democrat, he’d need their permission, and there’d probably be too much institutional resistance to throwing David Storobin under the bus. The basic difference between Simcha Felder and Noach Dear on the matter of voting for Dean Skelos is that Felder will be upfront about it. Simcha Felder, Lew Fidler, Dean Skelos, John Sampson www.cityandstateny.com
After the Fire, the Fire Still Burns Department:
A burnt out Jeff Gottlieb declines, but substitutes Stephen Green (I guess Queens resident "Marvin the Torch” wasn't available).
"I heard a voice asking what happens after the fire
And then the sound of a breaking windowAnd the scream of a tire…
After the fire, the fire still burns
The heart grows older but never ever learns
The memories smolder but the soul always yearns
After the fire, the fire still burns…
Raging through the pain
Blackening the promises the tears and the rain
The fire sill burn till the wind begins to turn
And it all begins again"The ‘Hackiest Hack in All of Hackdom’ Is No More www.politicker.com
