Zimmerman is back in jail

George Zimmerman, accused of murder is back behind bars after the judge ruled Zimmerman misled the court over his finances.

Zimmerman, accused of murder in the Trayvon Martin case, turned himself in to authorities in Florida Sunday after his bail was revoked.

“Mr. Zimmerman has been living in a secure, undisclosed location as there are significant threats against his life,” his lawyer, Mark O'Mara wrote on Zimmerman’s defense blog.

O’Mara said he will request a new bond hearing to “address the court’s concerns” and said he hopes Zimmerman’s voluntary surrender “will help demonstrate to the court that he is not a flight risk.”

Jail officials said Zimmerman will be housed away from the general population in a 67-square-foot cell designed to hold two inmates.

Zimmerman’s bail was revoked Friday because the judge said he lied about being broke to get a low bail.

At an April 20 bond hearing, he and his wife failed to mention that a makeshift website Zimmerman cobbled together to solicit financial support had brought in about $135,000 in donations.
