Did Santorum actually win by 12 instead of losing by eight?

It really doesn't matter, except for the bragging rights, but, as this stage, bragging rights are probably the most important thing up for grabs.

The numbers are slightly deceiving, as one needed 15% at a caucus site to win any delegates, but that being said, the OWS supported anti-Obama uncommitted slates won less than 2% of the Iowa Democrats' state level delegates, which means the number of anti-Obama uncommitted Iowa delegates to the national convention will be zero. http://iowademocrats.org/caucus/hPressVt76HujI/ iowademocrats.org

Hypocritical Bastards Award: Republicans dance on the dying corpse of the constitution, trying to nullify a duly passed law by refusing to confirm any appointees to enforce it, and then complain about process when the President makes a recess appointment.

Looks to me like one hypertechnicality having nothing to do with the spirit of the law may or may not have trumped another.

Even if the GOP proves technically correct, the idea that they have any moral standing to complain is ludicrous. The Grand Strategy Behind Obama’s Recess Appointment nymag.com

As predicted:

Gate (3/25/11): "In the Senate things get even more creative.

The Assembly’s 150 seats are set by the State Constitution. The Constitution sets the number of Senate seats by a formula which can no longer be applied as written because of intervening Court decisions.

As a result, there are two competing constitutionally permissible methods of interpreting that formula.

Only three people in the State of New York understand exactly how these competing methods work, and one of them has retired and spends his time attending the opera and sending me notes about proof-reading errors in my columns.

The Courts have deferred to the legislature, meaning they’ve deferred to the Senate, in interpreting that formula.

The Senate has changed its interpretation every ten years, depending upon how many seats best suits its political needs.

In the last three reapportionments we’ve gone from 60 seats to 62, using different formulas in different years.

No one knows what the Senate’s magical mathematical alchemist will determine is the correct formula…" Krueger Blasts ‘Constitutional Con Artists’ www.capitaltonight.com

Marty Golden is angry that the State of the State contain nothing about public safety–apparently he thinks DNA stands for "Don't kNOw Anything," which is surely tree of Golden, who should stop SHOOTING off his mouth until he finds his missing gun, which is probably next to his brains and thus will never be found.

Golden is also concerned about lack of action concerning frauds against the taxpayers.

I agree. It's about time someone investigated why so much public money has been spent on Golden's Super Pac (AKA "The Bay Ridge-Bensonhurst Beautification and Preservation Alliance" AKA "The George W Bushwick Center").
