My Challenge to the Editors of Room Eight New York Politics

For almost three years now, I have unsuccessfully requested that you institute a different methodology than the one in use presently, for those who want to comment on the columns here. I requested this because of what I deemed to be constant abuse (to which I have been subjected at times), which has been rather vile and deliberate. Many times you chose to delete the sickening things said, or printed; and I always told you to leave them for posterity; so I lost those battles. And now this week -in the comment section of my last piece (Eric Adams)- the crude, vulgar, vile and racist comments and caricatures reappear. And for those who want to better understand what I am talking about here, please go to the comment section of that column now: you will be shocked.

So here is my challenge (since I am beyond making threats): (a) do not delete the aforementioned submissions; leave them there for the world to see, and also for posterity; (b) display the IP number(s) from which these submissions were made; (c) make this site (Room Eight New York Politics), one where a person has to be screened, vetted and verified, before they are registered to comment; (d) track down the IP number(s) to see if I am correct about this being a pattern -you can trace back to as far as you want to go; (e) expose the person(s) doing this, by revealing their identity (or identities).

I have tried to explain to you what is happening is systematic and deliberate. Now I see where an anonymous commenter accuses me of doing these dastardly deeds, in order to bring attention to my horrible columns. The least you can do for me -after all I have contributed to the building up of this site over the years- is to clear up any suspicions around my good name.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH. PLEASE PUT THIS UP AS A COLUMN SINCE I WANT EVERYONE TO GO SEE THE FILTH. THIS GARBAGE MUST BE CONFRONTED. NOW.
