Who’s Running – Part 2

I previously posted the list of candidates who filed petitions to run in NYC  Democratic Party Primaries for Public office.

Today, I’ll list those running for Party Office.

In Manhattan and Staten Island, Democratic State Committee positions are contested. In Bronx & Queens State Committee and District Leader are up.  In Brooklyn State Committee and District Leader are the same position. In the Democratic Party, there are Male & Female positions for State Committee & District Leader in each district.

Many contests for Party position are tied in with contests for public office.

Manhattan

State Committee

66 AD – Incumbents Larry Moss & Rachel Lavine are being challenged by former District Leader Arthur Schwartz  & Lisa Cannistaci.

67 AD – Incumbent Elizabeth Starkey is opposed by Debra Cooper.

68 AD – Incumbent Committeeman and State Senate candidate Bill Perkins has 3 opponents – Assembly candidate John Ruiz, Manuel Onativia & Edward Franco.

There are also 4 candidates for the Female slot – District Leader Evette Zayas, Peggy Morales, Naomi Langley & Diane Green.

70 AD – Incumbent Sylvia Tyler is being challenged by District Leader Theresa Freeman.

72 AD – Councilman Miguel Martinez is running for re-election to the State Committee against Wigberto Astacio.

The Female incumbent Joan Serrano Laufer is opposed by Francia Rodriguez.

Bronx

State Committee

78 AD – Incumbent B.J. Rivera is opposed by  Antonio Rosario.

79    AD – 4 candidates are running for Male State Committee – Matthew Chapman, Cornell Nolton, Harris Igbinigun & Wilford Pickney & 4 are running for Female – Aida Haddock, Gladys Ramirez, Linda Kemp & Cynthia Cox.

80    AD – Incumbent Joseph McManus is opposed by Fred Cicerelli & Carlos Ramirez. 3 candidates are running for the Female slot – Diane Cerino, Jennifer Adornetto & Janice Walcott.

84 AD – Linda Duke & Iris Fernandez are running.

85 AD –  Domingo Rodriguez & incumbent Carmela Pinkney-Price  vs. Miguel Velez & Maria Castro.

District Leader

77 AD – The team of Venancio Catala & Hilda Alvarez are opposed by Carlton Curry & Jewel Lopez.

78 AD – Assemblyman & County Leader Jose Rivera is opposed by Senate candidate Richard Soto. Luana Rodriguez is opposed by Margarita Rosario.

79 AD – 4 candidates are running for Male Leader – incumbent Wilbert Lawton who is also running for Assembly, Eric Stevenson, Jose Padilla Jr. & Ricardo Gonce. There are  5 running for Female Leader – Shirley Matthew, Marie Washington, Bernice Williams, Lynette Rhea & Shirley Jackson

80 AD – 4 candidates are running for Male Leader – Ben Smith favorite Kenny Agosto, Julio Munoz, Fred Cicerelli & Richard Verdiner. Here there are 4 running for Female Leader – Michelle Dolgow, Ursula Perez Morgan. Erica Bukowiecki & Assembly candidate Robin Basile.

82   AD, Part A – Shirley Saunders is opposing Josephine Collins.

84 AD – Incumbent Richard Izquierdo Arroyo is opposed by the insurgent candidates for Assembly in this district – Harry Almodavar & Augustin Alamo. Councilwoman Maria Del Carmen Arroyo is opposed by Iris Fernandez & Shivani Alamo.

85 AD – Assemblyman Ruben Diaz Jr. is opposed for Leader by William Martinez and his running mate Antonia Figueroa is opposed by Wilma Castro.

86 AD – Assembly candidate Gloria Rosado is challenging Zoraida Rosado for Female Leader.

Brooklyn

State Committee

40 AD – Incumbent Earl Williams is opposed by Andre Mitchell & Anthony Forman. Assemblywoman Diane Gordon is being challenged for State Committee by Elsie Ortiz.

42 AD – Assembly candidate Michele Adolphe is challenging incumbent Mary Hobson.

43 AD – Incumbent Moses Moore is opposed by Assembly candidate Jesse Hamilton, Sharpton aide Kirsten John Foy, Dunstan Jackson  & Wayne Pitts.

46 AD – Incumbent Delia Schack is challenged by Sophia Williams.

55 AD – Assemblyman William Boyland Jr. is opposed for State Committee by former Council candidate Bilal Malik. Incumbent Lisa Kenner is being challenged by new Councilwoman Darlene Mealy.

56 AD – Councilman & Committeeman Al Vann is opposed by Assembly candidate Richard Taylor. Assemblywoman Annette Robinson is opposed for State Committee by Debra Shields.

57 AD – Incumbent & Assembly candidate Freddie Hamilton is opposed for Female State Committee by Olanike Alabi.

58 AD – Incumbent Gail Barnett  is opposed by Melba Brown.

Queens

State Committee

22 AD – Incumbent Eddie Abrams is opposed by Donald Henton.

34 AD – Incumbent Matt Distefano is challenged by Abner Monegro.

39 AD – There is a 3 way fight for the Male slot among Yonel Letellier, Orlando Tobon & Amaparito Rosero and a 2 way battler for Female between Jenny Fernandez & Tammy Rose.

District Leader

22 AD, Part A – Councilman John Liu is being opposed for Leader by John Bena and former Council candidates Martha Flores-Vasquez and Ethel Chen are running for the Female post.

22 AD, Part B –  4 candidates are running for Male leader – Ronald Kim, Fred Fu, James Wu & Don Capalbi. 3 are running for Female – Mei-hus Ru, Sally Kahn & Diane Dipaoli.

25 AD, Part A – Joseph Dorsa & former Council candidate Dilip Nath are running.

25 AD, Part B – Incumbent & Assembly candidate Rory Lancman is opposed by Harjinder Duggal, while Female Leader Uma Sengupta is opposed by Leela Maret.

31 AD, Part B – State Committeeman Taj Rajkumar is trying to switch to Leader opposing Stephen Jones. Assemblywoman & incumbent Leader Michelle Titus is opposed by Vienna Totaram.

35 AD, Part A – Incumbents Jimmy Smith  is being challenged by Hayden Horsham & Louise Emanuel.

35 AD, Part B- Incumbent James Lisa & Barbara Jackson are challenged by Anthony Miranda & Louise Emanuel.

39 AD, Part B – Councilman & Senate candidate Hiram Monserrate is running against Edgar Moya.  Dorothy Phelan & Amparito Rosero are running for Female leader.
