Privatizing Social Security is Pure Nonsense

Privatizing Social Security Is Pure Nonsense

The Republicans’ plan to privatize social security has raised its ugly head again only this time voters know it’s a stinker of an idea.  If social security had been privatized during the Bush Administration then many of our seniors would be out on the street because the financial meltdown would have erased most of their investment in an instant.

One suspects that Republicans want to privatize social security so they can pitch their friends on Wall Street a big bonus in guaranteed commissions for the billions they would be charged with investing.  The other reason for privatizing is because Republicans dislike FDR so much that they will bend over backwards to undo what ever programs he put in place.

They don’t care that FDR did more to help the poor and the middle class than any other president.  That just rubs them the wrong way because FDR helped the poor and middle class while keeping the wealthy in check and that is who Republicans owe their allegiance to, the wealthy.

The Republicans have given themselves and their wealthy cronies massive tax cuts that have pushed us into a deficit, they have outsourced our jobs overseas for the sake of their profits and now they want to start taking away what’s left from the rest of us.

The Republicans don’t care about social security because the funny thing is they go into office poor but miraculously somehow become rich without the need for social security.  They figure that if they don’t need it than no one else does either.

Well it’s time for the voters to pull the plug on this charade and end this shell game with our future retirement income.   It’s time to say no to those who always shout no.  It is time to obstruct those who always obstruct.   It is time for all of us to end their nonsense once and for all.
