Ms. Palin and her enablers have invoked an archaic term, “Blood Libel,” to attack those who criticize her use of vitriol in the nation’s political debate accusing many of us in a way of being anti-Semites. Well let me tell you something about Blood Libel Ms. Palin. In the 1900s demagogues like you incited a frenzy of hatred against my people the Armenians. 1.5 million Armenians were killed as a result of this and it did not stop there. During World War II our enemies used the Armenian genocide as a blueprint for the Holocaust resulting in the death of 6 million Jews and others targeted by vitriol.
We are not going to stand by while you push the envelope of hate knowing what we now know about the results of such extremism. No a great thinker postulated once that there may not have been a Holocaust if just one German said no, enough, stop. We, your critics, are saying no to you for fostering hatred to garner a few cheap votes from marginalized elements within our society.
You joke about the map you created showing gun crosshairs over targeted Congressional districts now calling them “surveyor marks.” Only one of your blind adherents would fall for this ruse knowing that you have used other gun language against political opponents, terms like “reload,” come to mind and statements about “Second Amendment remedies,” from those like you.
Words have meaning Ms. Palin, words have consequences and to use them in the way you do is nothing more than the incitement of violence. The nation has become so divided since the day you were propelled upon the national scene that one wonders what purpose you have in mind, financial or political gain or the destruction of the republic.
Tell us we want to know, the more so when you invoke the phrase “Blood Libel,” while a Jewish congresswoman lies critically wounded in a hospital bed from a madman’s bullet.
