For all the reasons I previously cited, this was no surprise.
What was a surprise was the size of the margin, which probably has more to do with Towns' weaknesses than Lopez's strengths, but may have even more to do with other factors than with either of these men.

Incidentally, my joke the other day, that the State Senate Republicans would abolish rent entirely if it would give them the redistricting plan they wanted, wasn’t such a joke.
