This is the most unexpectedly touching video since McGreevey said "I am a Gay American."
Congrats especially to Tom Duane.
People questioned Duane when he publicly befriended Kruger (bringing him a can of soda on the Senate floor) at a time when most of his conference made Kruger persona non grata.
Now we understand why.

Same article as above, hard to be this quote for irrational stupidity.
"And he has heard from some opponents of same-sex marriage who are the despondent ex-husbands and ex-wives of gay people…One of them [said] that a spouse’s surprise admission of homosexuality had torn apart the family. Why, this person asked, would the senator want to inflict more pain by legalizing same-sex marriage?"
I dunno, maybe, just maybe, there would be fewer despondent ex husband and ex-wives if LGTB people were less tempted to try to fit in by people of the opposite sex. marrying straight people, and found a way to solemnize their family lives in a manner which inflicted less pain on themselves and others. The smartest man in America says sex scandal cost Vitter eight points from the performance of the rest of his ticket.
Last time out in Weiner's district John McCain got 44%, but because of demographic changes and hot button issues like Israel, in 2012, this number will surely improve for the Republicans.
If Weiner runs again and his district looks anything like the current one, the GOP will spend money. An eight point loss from the rest of the ticket, under such circumstances means a seat lost to the GOP. The Electoral Effect of Sex Scandals fivethirtyeight.blogs.nytimes.com
A couple of weeks ago, odds were that Gary Ackerman & Carolyn McCarthy were going to be redistricted together; now they have new leases on life.
I would brand their calls for Weiner to quit as self interested opportunism, but in actuality, they'd be better off if he stayed, but didn't run again. Anthony Weiner Should Resign, Says Neighbor, Rep. Ackerman | PolitickerNY www.politickerny.com

A rose may be a rose, but the fact that guys named Weiner and Frank both had sex scandals seem more like labeling as destiny.
From the beginning of his trouble's I've urged Weiner to serve out his term, to avoid a special election which would complicate the coming reapportionment where the state is losing two seats.
Now I've changed my mind.
While I would still prefer for Weiner to serve out his term and then leave, it would be inhumane to ask anyone to continue to brave this onslaught just for the sake of politics.
Tony, if you want to go, don't let my advice, or anyone else's deter you.
On the other hand, if you want to run again, it is probably time to double down on the therapy.
