The late Steve Jobs was a Syrian American and he exemplifies what the Arab mind can unleash when free to do so a hope that brings infinite possibilities with the Arab Spring.
I mean he didn’t just revolutionize personal computing with the Apple computer but also revolutionized other industries with the iPod, iPhone and iPad. Imagine the potential for millions of Arab minds set free to release their own knowledge and imaginations. You will have the rise once again of a once great civilization.
For while Europe slumbered through the Dark Ages the Arab world was in a Renaissance bringing us Arabic numerals, zero and places like the Alhambra. They even preserved much of classical knowledge from Ancient Greece and Rome eventually passing it on to Irish monks who transcribed much of it for future generations helping to lift Europe out of the Middle Ages. That is all a great series of achievements because even without zero there would be no computer. R.I.P Steve Jobs.
