I write these blogs not as the citizen of a world superpower but as an ordinary citizen of the world. I don’t see a world mired in war but a future of peace and prosperity where national borders are seamless with all people sharing one roof.
Empires have endured not because of might but because of the unity they brought. Our future is not with empire but is certainly one of unity. And nowhere is this more apparent than in the United States where one can see the future with members of all races, sexual orientations, religions, genders, and creeds working together for the common good.
Oh sure there is friction and divisiveness caused by those seeking political advantage but for all intents and purposes it is of the many, one.
And that is what the whole world will become as American walks with Arab who walks with Jew who walks with Asian who walks with European all proud of their individual identities but united as one for the benefit of all advancing step by step into a bright global future.
