Not under discussion: the City of New York is broke. The State of New York is broke. The MTA is broke. The federal government is broke. People are increasingly broke, and younger generations are poorer than those who came before. Why? Who benefitted? Who should sacrifice, when and in what way, to stabilize things? It's joke.
Who is to blame for this state of affairs? The candidates. The press? Or is the press interested in what sells, with the blame going to the people, or at least some of the people. So they are looking for something to replace Anthony Weiner to get people to pay attention.
I guarantee the candidates would rather talk about Anthony Weiner and twerking that the issues I've raised. And there are lots of people and interets that would probably rather hear about Anthony Weiner too. Which is why the likely outcome is institutional collapse.
