It was refreshing Thursday Night to hear Brooklyn District Attorney Ken Thompson announce that his office will continue to free people that have falsely been convicted of crimes. (Take a look at this Daily News story)
At the Black Institute 2015 Annual Fundraiser, held at local healthcare union 1199, where Dominic Carter was the emcee, Thompson said “We must have the courage to do the right thing.”
Thompson’s words have been backed up with plenty of action. This is a profile New Yorker Magazine did on the Brooklyn District Attorney regarding the topic of wrongly convicted.
