The Gateway (Drano, Piss & Stale Ginger Ale Edition)

The Gallo v Akselrod debate proves Akselrod slightly more sane, in the same way one would rather drink piss than liquid Drano (although the thought of having either as one's Assemblyman is a fairly good argument for quaffing the latter).

Gatemouth endorses Steve Cymbrowitz, because flat and stale ginger ale is still preferable to piss or Drano. Sans Cymbrowitz, A Debate Where Everyone Agrees On Everything (Video) | Sheepshead Bay News Blog www.sheepsheadbites.com

Although I've previously called Al Baldeo a slug a slug, I have no comments about his troubles except to note that to say (as the Post does) that he “has political ties to…state Sen. Joseph Addabbo" is a little like saying Marty Connor has political ties to Dan Squadron (as I explain here). Pol is such a loser, donors were ‘fake’ www.nypost.com

ULRICH, HOUSE OF GLASS, WITHOUT CLASS: Having once spent a month on a recount with John Haggerty on the other side, I have a Stockholm Syndrome sort of affection for him.

By contrast, Vito Lopez and I regard each other somewhat unpleasantly.

That being said, and without regard to my still private opinions concerning Mr. Haggerty's troubles, it bears noting that only one of these two men is as yet a convicted criminal, and only one of the two is working for a candidate for State Senate in the Addabbo/Ulrich race.

In both cases, that would be Mr. Haggerty, who is structurally enmeshed in Mr. Ulrich's operation.

It also bears noting that whoever wins this race will have no vote on Mr. Lopez's continued presence in the Assembly, and that, as to expressing an opinion on the matter, Vito could not give a flying fuck what either of them has to say about the matter. Pardon me, but I am of the belief that you could fit all the people in New Hampshire, Virginia, North Carolina, Ohio, Iowa, Wisconsin,  Colorado and Nevada who give a damn about Mike Bloomberg's opinion into a phone booth (if such a thing still existed) and still have room for Gene Berardelli.

Yes, that does leave Florida, which I suppose Bloomie could marginally influence, and it leaves his checkbook, which at this point would probably amount to too little too late.

So, remind me why anyone cares what this egomaniacal blowhard thinks.

We already know what he thinks.

He thinks he should be the winner, and everyone else is not worthy.

Andrea Peyser thinks it is Obama who is the oppressor of women–look at what he called his wife in public!

But it gets worse:

PEYSER: As I’ve noted before, I am a pro-choice Democrat (seriously). I also won’t be bullied into believing that a Republican administration will end legal abortion with the appointment of anti-choice Supreme Court justices. I think abortion is here to stay.

Gate: Which is exactly what the anti-choice Republicans want you to think. Have you read an actuarial table lately, Sweetie?

And Sweetie, when exactly was the last time you voted for any Democrat in a competitive race? Executive ‘sweet’ www.nypost.com
