My friend Regina reports in response to my Who Killed the Waltons blog that a Mrs. Godsey on that show was most likely a tea bagger. This is a shocking revelation that pushes tea bagging back to the show’s origins in the 1970s and perhaps even further back to the time in which the show took place, the 1930s.
It would seem that the tea bagger has always been around but in an innocuous way harming no one just more of a nuisance until today when someone or some group empowered them and set them like a plague upon the land.
They were most likely empowered by those with financial means and we saw over the last few years a spectacle of hate and racism ending with the attempted toppling of the American economy. Have those who were once a nuisance taken a more sinister role and are now trying to undermine America and is this treasonous behavior or just free speech? But can you consider the destruction of America to be free speech and constitutionally protected? Should justice be called to order and if so is there a conspiracy afoot between the tea bagger and their enablers with a shared agenda that threatens America? Should they be removed to Guantanamo in the name of homeland security?
These are hard questions that must be asked and answered for the sake of the great experiment we call America.
