What Kind of Prosperity Are They Looking For

|

The question is with the Arab Rising and the emergence of China is what kind of prosperity are they seeking, the form found in America or that of Europe.  Well with the Arabs they are seeking freedom and with that freedom concurrent prosperity.  As for the Chinese they may dream of freedom but on the surface at least are satisfied with prosperity.

Multiple sources say a resignation by indicted State Senator Carl Kruger may be imminent.

However, a source close to Kruger told me: “Carl is not going out until he is forced to by operation of law. Those options are losing a primary or general or a conviction. No truth to the rumor.”

That sounds more like the Kruger I know, but we shall see.

DONALD TRUMP: THE PLAYER-HATING JOKER.

One of the men is D’Amato/Pataki political hatchet man Jeff Wiesenfeld.

I’ve received more than a few comments on my Facebook threads and in my email complaining I’ve been too sympathetic to Wiesenfeld in his CUNY contretemps with playwright Tony Kushner.

Towns Without Pity

|

On Wednesday night will come an event that I once saw as having the potential to be the opening gun in a new Brooklyn political war.

It may yet come to that, but I am having my doubts.

When Darryl Towns became the State’s Housing Commissioner, he resigned not only from his Assembly seat, but from the Male Democratic District Leader’s slot in his Assembly District.
