Let’s not even talk about how the president’s job speech is three years too late. Let’s not stand in awe of his soaring oratory. Let’s not frown upon the grim faces of Refusenik Republicans. And let’s just dismiss the staged applause of Democrats.
What we should focus on as did the cameras was Hillary Clinton who looked like a super hero chained to the deck of a sinking ship unable to take action to save her party, the nation or perhaps herself. Some said Hillary looked exhausted but they are wrong. Her expression was the pent up rage of her frustration at being helpless to act through no fault of her own in the face of a weak president, inept Democrats and unbending Republicans.
The question is can Hillary break these chains of imprisonment and summon the courage to challenge a incumbent president from her own party for the good of the nation. In fact it is not a question of can she it is a demand that she must do this because it is her sacred duty to do so, it is her call to service and she must do it now without thought to demographic repercussions or the hurt feelings of the president.
She must take charge and launch a primary campaign, defeat a sitting president then unite her party and face off against the Refusenik Republicans so that she can save our economy and put people back to work. This is her finest hour and she must rise to the occasion drawing on all her resources in a date with history.
