The Prime New York voter file has now been updated to include data about the voters who came out in the June Congressional Primaries.

Last Thursday was the deadline to file Party designating petitions for all offices except Congress & State Supreme Court Justice.

The recent column in City & State by Steven Cohen http://www.cityandstateny.com/bill-de-blasio-and-his-mandate/ that pointed to the record low turnout in last year’s New York City Mayoral election prompted much discussion on line about the reasons for lack of voter participation.

It’s a little late but I wasn’t able to really dig deeply into the NYC Primary numbers until recently, so here’s some of what I found by matching the 2013 Primary voter history to the Prime New York Voter File.
